Micromax ( okay ! YU televentures ) launched the much awaited YU Yuphoria at a surprise filled event in Delhi recently. Teasers had started coming well before the launch to create waves on what to expect and in the end it seems no one is disappointed .
The phone will obviously not break tiles but it did break the limits of technology affordability. The feature packed phone was launched at a rupee less than 7k and places it competitively against the earlier launched RedMi2.

The phone comes with a fully laminated Gorilla Glass protected screen but the has a ppi of 294 , a little less than RedMi2 's 312 which is due to the fact that RedMi's screen is 4.7inches as compared to Yuphoria's 5 inches.
The Yuphoria beats RedMi in Selfi Division . It features a wide angle 5MP camera as compared to Redmi's 2MP. So, have a bigger gang for a selfie ? Yu should buy Yuphoria
Next is the audio quality , Hands down to YUphoria. It wins with a Wolfson sound system that gives superior acoustics .
As far as Build Quality is concerned , the Yuphoria's metal body looks a lot confident as compared to the plasticky RedMI 2 .
It comes with Lollipop based Cynogen Mod 12 OS while REDMI still ships with the archaic KitKat . +1 Yuphoria !
The processor on both of them is the same and hence its a Tie there but Yuphoria has a 2GB RAM as compared to Mi's 1GB making it a lot better.
The internal storage is beefier too at 16GB as compared to 8GB on the Mi .
Its a clear verdict then.. Yuphoria is "On Paper" a better phone than RedMi2 but we are still to receive our unit for an in depth review but certainly, our money is on Yuphoria!
